We did it! We made it to the end of the 31 Days of Five Minute Free Writes Challenge!
If you’re still here, you definitely deserve a cupcake.
Today is Day 31 of 31 Days of Five Minute Free Writes, and for our final prompt, we’re writing on the word, CLOSE.
In case you missed it, my personal series this month has been 31 Days to Telling Your Story.

As we draw this series to a close, I encourage you to take a few moments today to jot down some highlights or lessons that have stood out for you this past month.Â
What has the Lord taught you or shown you through this exercise?Â
If you’ve been following along with 31 Days to Telling Your Story, look back on the progress you’ve made so far.Â
What are you grateful for? Have you received some clarity from God regarding your own story and how He might use it for His glory?Â
What steps have you taken in that direction?Â
What steps can you still take to share your story out of obedience to the Lord?
As you think about wrapping up a particular presentation of your story (whether written or verbal), what do you most want your readers to remember? What do you hope will be their biggest takeaway after reading or hearing your story?Â
In other words, what’s the main application you hope they will draw from what you share?Â
In many ways, this part is up to the Lord, right? But as people striving to be effective communicators, it’s important to have a clear objective and takeaway in mind as you prepare to share the message God has laid on your heart.
While writing this series, my hope has been that your biggest takeaway would be that God has given you a story to share, and He has equipped you to share that story in your own way in His timing, with the opportunities He will provide.
And that’s it, friend! If you haven’t kept up with all of the posts in this series, I invite you to click through the Table of Contents to find what you’re looking for.Â
I hope that this series has been a blessing to you, and I pray that the Lord would continue to equip and encourage you as you seek to share your story for His glory.Â
