Earlier this week, I heard on a local Christian radio station that CeCe Winans was going to be performing not far from our house. I went online to check the ticket prices and was disappointed that the cheapest option seemed out of reach. I texted my husband anyway, as CeCe is one of his absolute favorite musicians. He wrote back, “I just sent the link to my business partner and told him my birthday is coming up soon.” The cheek! No shame.
Well, his cheekiness paid off in the end, because his very generous business partner treated us to an amazing evening with CeCe Winans. She was incredible. Her voice is just so, so powerful. Here’s a sneak peek of what we enjoyed.
She opened the evening with a song I hadn’t heard before, one about how her life is better when she’s following the Lord.
And I was just so struck by her consistent, unwavering faithfulness to her Lord and Savior over so many decades, particularly facing countless challenges as a public figure.
Yet she remains so humble, generous, and deeply committed to sharing the gospel message with the lost and believers alike.
With powerhouse vocals and a dignified presence, she led the audience in song after song of worship directed to her King. And she made sure that she shared the message of salvation through Jesus Christ alone for all who would believe.
It was such a blessing to see her living, walking testimony as someone who continues to follow hard after Him.

I love CeCe Winans. Have you heard her version of Blessed Assurance? I love her entire CD Alone in His Presence. It is so soothing! What a blessing to be able to hear her live! Thanks for sharing your experience.

I love CeCe Winans! And I too have been so disappointed by checking out ticket prices for local concerts. I’m so glad you have a generous friend who helped you to get to enjoy the worship service.
